Day 1: Kiev
Arrival in the afternoon at Kiev-Borispol airport
Transfer in the city centre and beginning of the panoramic tour of Kiev by bus.
The visit will begin with The Golden door ( Zoloty Vorota): erected in 1037 by Yaroslav the Wise, it was formerly the main entrance of the city. Then, the opera of Kiev and the Krechtchatik boulevard, which winds on 1,5 km between both hills Chtchekavitsa and Khorevytsya. Closed to the traffic the weekend, it is the favourite place of the inhabitants for shopping, meeting themselves and having a drink.
Arrival at the hotel and check-in.
Spare time and later dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Kiev
Breakfast and continuation of the visit of Kiev with the St-Sophie cathedral (XIth century) of Byzantine style. Brilliant of beauty so outside as inside, its mosaics and frescoes date from 1017-1031. Prince Yaroslav is buried there. The St-Vladimir cathedral (Volodymyr), an orthodox Christian church of traditional Byzantine style dating from 1882 is remarkable for its magnificent wall frescoes.
Lunch in a restaurant.
Spare time, back to the hotel and dinner.
Day 3: Kiev
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a small cruise on the Dnieper. On returning to the ground, the day will continue with the visit of the museum of Tchernobyl (or any museum you will choose). Lunch in a restaurant. The afternoon will begin with the visit of the St-Andrew church. During a stay in Kiev in 1744, the empress Elisabeth Petrovna gave the order to build this church which was crowned in 1767. Of baroque style, it hosts works of the Italian Rastrelli and the Russian Andropov. At the exit of the church, begins the descent of Andrew (Andreevskiï spousk): numerous painters, sculptors, writers took up residence there. The most famous of them, was Mikhaïl Boulgakov. He lived in the small house at the n°13 which is now a museum. Often compared with Montmartre, this very picturesque street is the address of numerous galleries of art, antique dealers and souvenir shops. At the foot of the street, you will meet yourselves in the heart of the oldest trading district of Kiev, the Podil.

Day 4: Kiev
Breakfast and check-out.
Departure for the Petchersk Laura monastery.This impressive religious complex, who extends on approximately 26 ha, consists of a set of churches topped by golden domes, including the catacombs where rest mummified mortal remains of some 165 monks, (among whom, those of Saint Antoine, founder of the monastery and Nestor the author of the chronicles of Kiev) the low Laura and the high Laura who hosts the magnificent museum of the historic treasures. The construction and the evolution of this great place of pilgrimage extends from the XIth to the XIXth century.The museum of treasures hosts a magnificent collection of golden Scythian jewels as well as Jewish silver ritual objects of the XVIII-XXth centuries. The visit will end to the museum of microminiatures. Lunch in a restaurant. The afternoon will continue with the visit of the museum of Pirogovo, an ethnic museum located at 12 km south from Kiev which extends on approximately 145 ha. It presents a beautiful reconstruction of the wooden architecture and the Ukrainian rural life of former days. Dinner in a restaurant in the city and transfer at the Kiev station.

Day 5: Lvov
Arrival in Lvov early in the morning. Transfer by bus to the hotel, check-in and breakfast. Departure for a panoramic excursion of the city. The city was built in 1250 by prince Danylo Romanovytch, eminent sovereign of the powerful Slavic State of Halych-Volynia. The historic heart of the city is listed in the world heritage of the humanity by the UNESCO. From the hill of the High Castle (Zamkova Hora), where remain the ruins of the castle built by prince Danylo in the XIIIth century, you can admire a magnificent panorama on the old town. The visit will continue by the descent towards the marketplace ( Plochtcha Rynok). Streets surrounding the place hosted printers' workshops, chemist's, shoe-repairers' shops, as well as craftsmen's diverse workshops. The name of streets testifies of the presence of the numerous communities which lived there.

The afternoon will start with a walk in the Pidvalna street. Visit of the church and the monastery of the Dominicans and the Orthodox church Uspenski, flanked by its famous Korniakt bell-tower and of the chapel of the three Saints. Discovery of the Latin and Armenian cathedrals, the old fortifications of the city and the monastery of the Bernardins.
Transfer to the hotel, check-in. Spare time and later dinner at the hotel.
Day 6: Lvov
Breakfast and departure for Jovkva (30 km). The beautiful town of Jovkva which sheltered in the XVIIth century an artists' colony, preserves a beautiful palace of Renaissance style within a very pleasant park. Discovery of the St Laurent cathedral, of the monastery of the Dominicans and the wooden churches of the Holy Trinity.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
Back to Lvov and visit of the cemetery of Lytchakivsky: burial place of illustrious characters (artists, composers, scientists). About 400.000 persons are buried there. During this indispensable walk, you will admire steles and other funeral vaults which will remind you the Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris.
Back to the hotel and dinner.
Day 7: Lvov - Kamenets-Podolski
Breakfast, check-out and departure to the fortified city of Kamenets-Podolski (300 km from Lvov) dating from the XIth century, perched on a rocky peak, in the middle of a 150-200 metres wide natural ditch and deep about 30 metres. The canyon is at the edge of a loop formed by a tributary of the Dniester, the Smotrych river. We reach the city and the castle by two bridges. It is certainly the site of Ukraine where the medieval atmosphere is the most palpable.

Panoramic tour of the city and visit of the surprising St Pierre and Paul cathedral of Turkish and Polish inspiration.
Transfer to the hotel, check-in and dinner at the hotel.
Day 8: Kamenets-Podolski - Tchernovtsi
Breakfast and check-out. Beginning of the visit by the fortress and its defensive system, followed by a walk through the Armenian, Ukrainian and Polish districts in the old town up to the Turkish bridge. Departure to the city of Tchernovtsi (85 km). Arrival at Tchernovtsi early in the afternoon and lunch in a restaurant. Discovery of the city centre and visit of its famous university (XIXth), which formerly was the residence of metropolitans of the Greek Orthodox Church of Bucovina. The afternoon will continue with the visit of the theater of Art, the church of Saint Nicholas topped by its beautiful turquoise blue cupolas and of the Armenian cathedral of the Holy Spirit.
Transfer to the hotel, check-in and dinner.
Day 9: Tchernovtsi - Kothyn
Breakfast, check-out and departure to Kothyn (60 km).
Visit of the fortress of Khotyn overhanging the Dniester. It was built in the XVth century. Its impressive bulwarks testify of very tempestuous warlike past. Back to Tchernovtsi and lunch. Spare time and transfer at the station.
Departure at midday for Odessa. Dinner (packed lunch) in the overnight train.
Day 10: Odessa
Arrival in Odessa early in the morning, transfer and breakfast in the hotel.
Beginning of the panoramic excursion of the city of Odessa which will passing by the Privoz market, the Primorski boulevard, the statue of the duke of Richelieu and the famous Potemkine staircases .Transfer to the hotel, check-in and lunch at the hotel.
Free afternoon and dinner at the hotel.
Day 11: Odessa
Breakfast and departure to the Catacombs: these galleries dug to extract the necessary rock for the construction of Odessa, extend over several hundreds of kilometres under the city. They were alternately the dens of smugglers and of the partisans during the second world war. They also host any sorts of warehouses. Certain rooms are now museums.
Lunch in a restaurant. Visit of the museums of fine art and archaeology. Spare time (possibility of going to one of the beaches close to the city centre).

Day 12: Odessa
Breakfast and departure for the visit of a champagne cellar, followed by a tasting. Lunch and visit of the old city of Odessa, the rest of the afternoon is free (possibility of going to one of the beaches close to the city center).

Day 13: Odessa - Belgorod-Dnetrovski
Breakfast and departure for Belgorod-Dnetrovski (50 km). Located on the right bank of the estuary of the Dniester, the city was built in the Vth century by the Greeks, and was baptized Tyra. It is among the oldest towns of the world classified by UNESCO in the world heritage of the humanity. To ensure the defence of this strategic city, king Etienne II of Moldavia made it build a fortress in the XIIIth century. Its construction extended over about 200 years. It is one of the biggest defensive work which counts the country. Other tourist places are the Armenian church as well as the underground church of Saint John.
Lunch in a local restaurant, back to Odessa and spare time till the dinner.
Day 14: Odessa airport
Breakfast, check-out and spare time for a few purchases.
Transfer to the airport, end of the stay.
